Audio Triggers

Every microphone on one page.

Audio Manager opens your audio interface, or a Dante or Ravenna stream, and meters every channel it finds, live. Before anything is automated you can already see which mic is hot and which one is bleed.

One scale runs across the whole app, so a level in the trigger editor means the same thing as a level on the desk.

Measure

Thresholds measured, not guessed.

The calibration wizard listens to three seconds of quiet and three seconds of talk on each mic, then sets the threshold from what it measured in your room. When the gap between the two is too small it says so, and points you at console tally instead of level.

Rooms drift, so above-floor mode keeps a margin above each mic's own tracked noise floor. The system does not go deaf when the ventilation kicks in.

Bind

A trigger watches a single microphone and fires a single command when that mic goes hot. Point it at a camera angle and the shot follows the voice, with nobody in the loop.

A trigger holds an ordered list of rules, and what is on air decides which one fires. The same microphone can take a different shot on the morning show than it does at night.

Vary

A wide before the close-up.

A pre-shot puts up an establishing shot for a moment before the cut settles on whoever is talking. When somebody holds the floor a long time, alternative angles cut away to another camera and come back.

The cutaway interval is randomised inside bounds you set, so a long monologue does not turn into a metronome.

Review

The show logs itself.

Audio History keeps a timeline of every mic that opened during the show, with its start, its release and how long it ran. Scrub back through any hour to see how the show actually went.

Those same mic-open ranges are the numbered moments on the Clips timeline, so your highlight is already marked.

Frame

The right person is only half of it.

A trigger gets the right camera on air. It says nothing about what that camera is looking at. Camera Assist is the other half: while a camera is off air it works pan, tilt and zoom until the picture matches the shot size you named, so the angle a trigger calls up is already framed when it is taken.

Ninety-nine angles per camera, and an angle can carry its own shot size and its own number of faces. The trigger names the angle. The angle names the shot.

Metering
-96 to +12 dBFS on every meter in the app, PPM colour zones, true-peak clip detection at -0.5 dBFS.
Calibration
Two 3 second windows sampled every 50 ms. Below a 12 dB gap between talk and quiet it recommends console tally over level detection.
Timing
Attack hold 0 to 2000 ms, release hold 0 to 5000 ms, priority 1 to 100. Pre-shot up to 60 seconds, alternative angles defaulting to 10 and 20 seconds.

Nine recognised driver patterns. One click creates a trigger per channel.
Mic presets
Eleven named presets by mic class, Shure and Neumann, labelled as starting points for your own calibration pass, plus a generic default.
Fallback
A studio-level fallback fires after a configurable delay, up to 60 seconds, and can run an ordered rundown of commands with timeouts. It keeps running even when auto-switching is off.
